Slips, trips, and falls are a leading cause of workplace injuries. They result in injuries to over 42,000 workers every year which accounts for 17% of all lost time injuries. Preventing such injuries should be a key goal of every safe and healthy workplace.

This module ensures that managers have the training and knowledge required to work safely when exposed to hazards and how to implement controls to minimize or eliminate the hazards to prevent injuries for other workers. This module will also touch on falls from elevated surfaces and the provincial requirements for fall protection.

Upon completion of this training, managers will understand their roles and responsibilities in the prevention of slips, trips, and falls and know how to effectively manage hazards.
