Course Description:
In this module, learners will be provided with the basic knowledge about responding to minor spills; those spills where the worker is able to take the necessary measures to control, contain and clean up spilled materials. By the end of this program, learners will be able to classify which spills are considered minor based on the three criteria and respond to the spill accordingly. Learners will be able to identify and use each item included in a spill kit to minimize and reduce the risks of possible exposure or other hazards.

Testing conducted throughout this course is designed to reinforce the information presented. A mark of 80% must be achieved in order to receive a certificate of completion. Participants are able to repeat the course if the pass mark is not achieved.
