Course Description:
In this module, learners will be provided with the more extensive information about responding to minor spills; those spills where the worker is able to take the necessary measures to control, contain and clean up spilled materials. By the end of this program, learners will be able to classify which spills are considered minor based on the three criteria and respond to the spill accordingly. Learners will understand the parts of a spill prevention program, how to implement a prevention plan as well as identify and use each item included in a spill kit to minimize and reduce the risks of possible exposure.
