Course Description:
This module is designed to teach the theory portion of lift truck operation. Lift truck operators will still need to complete a practical evaluation following completion of this online module.

The Lift Truck Operators Training program will provide participants with a general understanding of the safe and efficient operation of an industrial powered lift truck, the goal being to reduce or eliminate occupational injuries or illnesses related to their operation.

By the end of this module, learners will be able to identify the key safety practices and procedures required to operate a typical lift truck. Within these operations, learners will be able to identify common safety hazards, recognize key lift truck operating principles and review the key legal requirements and related standards and guidelines.

Please note: This program covers the theory portion of this training only.  Students must complete practical training to receive full certification.

Assessment:
Testing conducted throughout this course is designed to reinforce the information presented. A mark of 80% must be achieved in order to receive a certificate of completion. Participants are able to repeat the course if the pass mark is not achieved.

Upon successful completion of this online course, a certificate of completion will be available for download and printing. Additional resources will be provided at the end of the module to continue with the practical assessment in the workplace.
