Course Description:
This training module is designated for those in the lawn care and maintenance industry. Learners will be taught the basic hazards and how to control hazards that arise during the course of their work.
A large portion of this module is dedicated to the personal protective equipment and the various pieces that are necessary for the job. Preparation to perform the task and preparation of the equipment are also emphasized. Other important topics covered include; safety equipment, preparing to perform the task, preparing the equipment before task, safe operation, safety precautions and PPE.

Testing conducted throughout this course is designed to reinforce the information presented. A mark of 80% must be achieved in order to receive a certificate of completion. Participants are able to repeat the course if the pass mark is not achieved.
