Course Description:
Lead, once a commonly used substance has become more well-known in today’s workforce as being an extremely hazardous substance. Now outlined under occupational health and safety as a designated substance, it is essential that all employees who work with or near lead be provided with the proper tools and information to carry out their work safely.
This module will introduce the hazards associated with lead, where it can be found, identify the signs and symptoms of lead poisoning and give other information regarding safe work practices and PPE.

Testing conducted throughout this course is designed to reinforce the information presented. A mark of 80% must be achieved in order to receive a certificate of completion. Participants are able to repeat the course if the pass mark is not achieved.
