Course Description:
Employers have a general duty to take every precaution reasonable in the circumstances to protect workers from hazards in their workplaces, including preventing the spread of a contagious illness or disease, such as COVID-19.

While all employees should continue to practice physical distancing, hand hygiene and respiratory etiquette, this training module looks at additional measures to reduce exposure to the infectious virus as much as possible.

This module will discuss the following topics:

  • Cleaning and Disinfection
  • Housekeeping
  • Waste Management
  • Ventilation

Approximately 18-20 minutes

Testing conducted throughout this course is designed to reinforce the information presented. A mark of 80% must be achieved in order to receive a certificate of completion. Participants are able to repeat the course if the pass mark is not achieved.
